What will be built on the site of the old bazaar in the city of Osh
“We will not allow this space to be turned back into a trading zone. There will be no clothing trade here, nor an old bazaar. The bazaar is gone forever,” the mayor emphasized, expressing a firm stance on this issue.
According to Akayev, instead of a bazaar, a modern and compact space is planned to attract tourists and support local artisans.
“A small area for our craftsmen will be organized in this district. Tourists will be able to stroll, observe, and purchase products. This will be a cultural venue, not just a market. We aim for it to be modern, tidy, and convenient,” the mayor added.
City hall emphasizes that the project is already in the discussion stage, and the main goal is to create a clean and well-maintained space that will seamlessly integrate into the city’s tourist infrastructure.
