At the meeting of the Road Council on February 19, the director of the Department of Transport and Development of Road Transport Infrastructure, Ulanbek Beishenbaev, reported that the possibility of launching night public transport routes is being considered. However, this will require the introduction of a separate fare for night trips.

Beishenbaev noted that buses continue to operate on routes until 1 AM, despite the fact that some of them finish their service earlier. "Check the 'My City' app," he added. "In most cases, the vehicles return to the bus depot after 11 PM."

This issue has become relevant in light of complaints from city residents who have faced a shortage of public transport late at night, especially students and workers finishing their workday after 10 PM. These individuals often find themselves in situations where they have to walk home or use taxis, which significantly increases their expenses.
