Aitunuk Akylbekova, residing in the Issyk-Kul region, is actively engaged in horseback riding and archery.

Her life journey began on August 15, 2009, in the village of Sary-Bulun, located in the Tyup district. "I grew up surrounded by clean air and endless fields, and the sounds of horse hooves were always nearby," she shares.

Today, Aitunuk lives in Bishkek and is studying in the 10th grade, dedicating most of her time to her studies and training.

Aitunuk's interest in horses did not arise by chance. Since childhood, she has watched with admiration the performances of Dastan Kachkynbaev, which drew her into the world of equestrian sports. At the age of 13-14, she began to teach herself horseback riding. There are no traditions in her family related to playing ulak tartysh or horses, but she chose this path on her own.

Since turning 14, Aitunuk has started participating in ulak tartysh competitions. Although her family did not approve of her passion, she sometimes left home secretly, assuring them that she was just going for a walk. Her passion for the game was so strong that Aitunuk continued to follow her calling.

Although she has not yet achieved significant victories, every training session is a step towards success for her. A special moment in her life was the day she was able to lift the ulak for the first time, and that memory still remains in her heart with excitement.

In her free time, Aitunuk is also passionate about archery, considering this art important for developing hunting skills, accuracy, and patience. She also occasionally participates in kız kuumay, but her passion for ulak is much stronger. In her native village, she has participated in kız kuumay only 1-2 times, but her thoughts are more often occupied with the game of ulak.

Aitunuk started practicing archery quite recently and is now actively learning, striving to achieve high results.

"My main goal is to become a daughter that my parents can be proud of. I want to become a rider in kok-boru and achieve mastery in archery. I have big dreams, and I believe that my efforts will help me realize them," she says.
