According to one of the specialists, the current framework does not allow for the restoration of the fountain to its previous capacity.
He noted: "It is necessary to redesign the project according to the proposed sketches."
Junushaliev emphasized that all objects being constructed in the city must strictly adhere to the sketches approved by the urban planning council. "We have been working together for several years. For example, 'Zhashtyk Arena' was built according to the approved project. The 'Alga' sports complex also meets the stated intentions. The waste processing plant was built in accordance with its original concept. The same requirements were set here. We sent a request to the Ministry of Construction, conducted inspections, and now, unfortunately, we are facing a new problem. That is why I gathered the members of the urban council. If the project does not meet the stated requirements, it needs to be canceled, and the fountain complex should be returned to its previous state. If you cannot build better, as indicated in the sketch, return to the previous version," he added.
The mayor reminded that the country's leadership has called on government agencies to support and protect businesses. At the same time, he noted that entrepreneurs must also act within the law and consider the interests of the city and its residents.
"If the company does not start the dismantling on its own within three days, we will involve the municipal construction authority, and all costs for the dismantling will fall on the company that carried out the construction. This is a final decision," the mayor stated.
It is worth noting that a new multifunctional facility is currently being built on the site of the existing fountain complex near the Central Department Store (TSUM). The project authors assured that the fountains will be preserved and transformed.
