The Presidential Administration has presented a draft resolution regarding the procedure for issuing temporary driver's licenses. The document is available for public discussion.

The initiative proposes to take into account the new training format, which now lasts 10 months. However, trainees who have completed a minimum of 4 months in a driving school and successfully passed the vehicle operation exams will be issued temporary national licenses.

If a trainee does not meet these requirements, the temporary license will be revoked, and they will have to complete the remaining six months of training in a state driving school.

According to the draft, obtaining a national driver's license is only possible if the candidate has no three or more traffic violations.

In addition, the temporary license loses its validity:

The temporary driver's license is valid for one year from the date of its issuance. Extension of this period is not provided.

When obtaining a national license, the temporary rights must be returned to the authorized body.

After the resolution is signed, the State Center for Registration of Vehicles and Drivers will approve the sample of the temporary national license, which can be issued both in paper and electronic form through the AIS.
