According to Tagaev, the Center for Monitoring and Research of the Information Environment has been disbanded in the country, and now there is no body that can effectively interact with social networks and information platforms.
He also emphasized that despite the existing restrictions, many citizens, including young people, continue to use TikTok through VPN services.
We request that the proposal to lift the ban on TikTok be considered.

The Deputy Minister noted that the ban on access to the platform negatively affects the youth audience, representatives of the creative industries, and small businesses that use TikTok as a means for promotion and earning income.
It is worth reminding that TikTok was officially blocked in Kyrgyzstan in April 2024. This decision was made following an instruction from the Communications Regulation and Supervision Service, based on a letter from the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
