In December of last year, the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, announced the start of the implementation of an important infrastructure project — the eastern bypass road.
The project includes not only two interchanges but also the construction of five major transport hubs, as well as an overpass bridge towards Kant.
The new transport corridor will run through the eastern part of Bishkek, bypassing dense urban development, with a total length of 16 kilometers.
According to the representative of the head of state, the road will also pass through the rural municipality of Kara-Jygach in the Alamudun district and connect with Akhunbaev Street.
