Challenging living conditions for artists of the National Drama Theater named after Abdymomunov: families in warehouse premises
At a parliamentary meeting, deputy Mahabat Mavlyanova spoke about the difficult living conditions of some artists of the National Drama Theater named after Abdymomunov, who have been living for many years in warehouse premises where theatrical equipment is stored.
Mavlyanova noted that she personally visited these places and saw the conditions in which the artists live, including small children among them.
“The roles they perform highlight their significant contribution to the development of theatrical art,” the deputy added.
She also emphasized that many actors are forced to constantly rent housing and frequently change their places of residence. Despite impressive work experience, some of which exceeds 20 years, their salaries only reach 22,000 soms.
In her opinion, the issue of providing housing for theater employees requires a solution at the state level, as there are about 21 theaters operating in the country.
