The opening of the cable car in the Ala-Archa National Park took place today with the participation of President Sadyr Japarov. The new cable car has a length of 1 kilometer and includes 16 cabins, each accommodating 10 people. Among the cabins are two VIP-class cabins designed for 4 passengers.
The upper station of the cable car is located at an altitude of 2,494 meters, while the lower station is at 2,166 meters above sea level. The expected lifespan of this infrastructure is 50 years, with a capacity of up to 1,000 people per hour.
At the upper station, there are also plans to build 20 A-frame houses and a three-story eco-hotel.
It is worth noting that construction work began in January 2025. The project was entrusted to the Austrian company Doppelmayr, known as one of the leading specialists in the design and maintenance of cable cars.
The total length of the route planned for construction will be 23 kilometers. Currently, the first stage of construction work has been completed.
