At a recent collegial meeting held in the region, the results for 2025 were summarized, where one of the key topics was the discussion of the problem of domestic violence.
According to the provided data, there are 59,304 families registered in the region, of which 595 have become victims of violence. These figures highlight the need to intensify efforts to ensure family well-being and preventive measures.
Particular concern is raised by the situation regarding violence against children and adolescents. Specifically:
- 52 cases of violence against children have been recorded;
- 35 incidents involving minors have been identified.
According to law enforcement agencies, 299 children are registered with the internal affairs departments, which constitutes 0.5% of the total number of children in the region.
At the meeting, instructions were given to the relevant services to strengthen preventive measures in the area of domestic violence, as well as to enhance the protection of children and conduct explanatory work among the population.
Experts emphasize that the fight against this problem requires joint efforts from both state structures and local authorities, society, and parents.
