Correspondents from Kaktus.media visited the final stop of the 71st bus, but getting there proved to be difficult. We spent about 45 minutes waiting at the Alamudinsk market stop, without seeing the bus. Ultimately, we took a taxi, paying 394 soms. On the way, we were jolted on the broken sections of the road.
Current situation at the 71st bus stop
Upon arriving at the final stop, we found it to be a large muddy area, making it quite common for vehicles to get stuck here. There were no signs or shelters indicating the stop. The broken roads are not only observed at the terminal but also along the entire route of the 71st bus, which passes through the former Sadovoe. Only the last one and a half kilometers of the road were in decent condition. When the bus finally arrived at the stop, we spoke with the driver, who reported that only four buses are in operation. On weekends, they are not sent out at all, as they run almost empty due to the absence of schoolchildren. The driver noted that fuel costs do not justify going out on such days, especially considering the poor condition of the roads.
Driver on road conditions: “Driving becomes impossible”
According to the driver, moving along these streets has become extremely difficult. Some sections of the road resemble "shingles." Repairs in places where they are conducted are done in fragments. In trying to avoid one pothole, the driver inevitably ended up in another, and the whole bus shook. “It seems that the windows in the cabin could break from the shaking, and the bus's suspension is suffering. It would be great if this road were repaired,” he remarked, adding that in case of a breakdown, he would have to deal with the repair costs himself. For example, replacing a window could cost 25,000 soms, and in such conditions, breakdowns are inevitable.
