Aibek Junushaliev: 93,500 Trees Processed in Bishkek Over the Year
According to him, city workers are not only engaged in the removal of hazardous trees but also in their treatment and preventive care.
As the mayor noted, in 2025, 93,522 trees were treated in Bishkek, which is three times more compared to previous years.
These actions are aimed at preventing tree diseases and prolonging their lifespan.
“We are making every effort to preserve the trees so that they can delight us for many years. However, there are cases when they fall, causing harm to people and damaging property. Therefore, some trees recognized as hazardous must be removed,” said Aibek Junushaliev.
The issues of tree removal remain very relevant and sensitive for the city's residents. Many questions were raised at the Eco Council regarding the criteria for recognizing trees as hazardous and the process of their removal.
The mayor emphasized that the city authorities strive to find a balance between ensuring the safety of citizens and the necessity of preserving the green spaces of the capital.
