In the Kyrgyz Republic, the establishment of funds is planned in five cities and rural areas to support local community initiatives.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, an agreement on cooperation has been signed with several non-profit organizations, including the Public Fund "Civic Participation," the Center "Interbilim Osh," and "Youth of Osh."
This initiative aims to implement a pilot project that will create support funds for local communities.
The main task of the project is to enable residents to participate more actively in issues related to the local budget, as well as to support their initiatives and receive assistance in implementing projects that are beneficial for their communities.
The Ministry of Finance will provide consulting and methodological support to local self-government bodies, while partner organizations will focus on training, conducting information campaigns, and supporting initiative groups at all stages of the funds' operations.
The statement notes that the project will contribute to strengthening the role of local communities in managing budget funds, increasing transparency in the distribution of finances, and creating conditions for the effective functioning of funds across the country.
