Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of investment in education for the country's progress
During his working trip to the Osh region, the chairman of the cabinet of ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, attended the opening of a new school in the Uzgen district, in the village of Zhylandy.
The school, built with funds from the republican budget amounting to 152 million soms, accommodates 275 students and is equipped with modern facilities, including classrooms, a library, and a cafeteria. The head of the cabinet noted that the previous building had served for over 50 years.
In his speech, Kasymaliev stressed that education should remain one of the main priorities of the state.
"Knowledge, not power, governs the world. An educated nation is the most valuable wealth of the country," he noted, adding that improving the quality of education is an important part of the policy of the current president, Sadyr Japarov.
The head of government also announced that by 2025, 16 more new schools will be put into operation in the region. In addition, he announced a salary increase for teachers starting in April of this year and noted that budgetary capabilities will allow for increased incomes for healthcare and cultural workers.
Addressing the teachers, Kasymaliev pointed out that the construction of new schools and the reform of the wage system should be accompanied by improvements in the quality of education.
"A strong education system is the path to the country's development," he concluded.
