In Russia, a law was passed requiring operators to block communication at the request of the FSB.
According to the new legislation, operators must "suspend the provision of communication services" at the request of the FSB, in cases defined by the regulatory acts of the President of Russia.
In the earlier version of the bill, it was mentioned that services are blocked at the "request" of the FSB to protect citizens and the state from security threats. In the updated version, the term "request" was replaced with "requirement," and references to the government and security threats were removed.
