For delays in pensions, scholarships, and benefits, it is proposed to require the payment of penalties
According to the draft law developed by the cabinet of ministers, if pension, scholarship, or benefit payments are delayed for more than five days, a penalty of 0.15% of the debt amount will be charged for each day of delay.
At the same time, the total amount of the accrued penalty cannot exceed 200% of the principal debt. It is important to note that this limitation applies only from the moment of delay until a written demand for payment is submitted. After such a demand, the maximum penalty amount is no longer limited and is charged until full settlement.
Committee members, following the discussion, supported the draft law in the first reading.
