The Department of Urban Infrastructure Plans to Modernize 164 Elevators in Bishkek » Gazeta.kg

In Bishkek, this year, the modernization of 164 elevators is planned, as reported by the director of the Department of Urban Economy, Bermet Sydykova, at a meeting of the permanent commission of the city council on issues of economy, budget, finance, and investments.

A total of 350 million 216 thousand soms has been allocated for the implementation of this project.

She also noted that in 2025 it was planned to repair 100 elevators; however, 64 of them were recognized as transitional facilities. In 2026, the modernization of another 100 elevators is scheduled.

To successfully complete these works, the Department intends to sign contracts with three different companies.

It is expected that the cost of updating one elevator will be around 2 million soms.
