On February 15, a meeting took place between President Sadyr Japarov and Kamchybek Tashiev, who previously held the position of head of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB). The president himself reported this in an interview with the "Kabar" agency.

Japarov noted that Tashiev confirmed he had not communicated with representatives of those "aksakals" who raised the issue of holding early elections.

The president stated: "In the evening, I met with him and said: 'Rest, my friend, take care of your health, be calm.' He assured me that he had not had any conversations with the aksakals. This makes me think that they acted secretly, without informing him. This can be called a disservice. But we will bring order and fix everything. Thank God, we have the strength for this," he added.
