On February 14, Kyrgyzstan celebrates Book Giving Day, which is held on a large scale in libraries across the country. This initiative aims to promote reading and strengthen cultural values among the population, as reported by the Ministry of Culture.

According to information from the ministry, more than a thousand libraries are participating in the initiative, offering a variety of events, including Book Swap activities, quests, and programs titled "A Book is the Most Valuable Gift," which encourages active book exchanges among readers.

At the National Library named after Alikula Osmonov, festive events and updates to the book collection are taking place, while the Republican Library for Children and Youth named after Kasymaly Bayalinov offers special programs for young readers.
