In 2025, targeted assistance was provided to 60,472 people in Bishkek, amounting to 184 million 565.2 thousand soms. For comparison, in 2024, this support was received by 58,805 citizens for a total of 174 million 467.4 thousand soms, as reported by the city hall.
According to the department, this year 130 social contracts were signed with needy families, for which 19.5 million soms were allocated. Digital "Social Passports" were also introduced, a project to support women with children was implemented in collaboration with the "SOS Children's Villages Bishkek" foundation, and the "Single Window" principle was established to simplify access to social assistance.
Regarding education, in 2025, the transformation of 25 existing and 7 newly opened kindergartens was carried out, allowing an additional 4,500 children to be covered. Seven preschool institutions were transferred to municipal ownership, of which 5 were managed by district education departments, where major repairs were conducted.
As part of the introduction of digital technologies into the educational process, 25 schools were equipped with interactive panels. The provision of textbooks was 76% in the Kyrgyz language and 67% in the Russian language.
As a result of the national general testing, 54 graduates received gold certificates, of which 38 are students from Bishkek, accounting for 70% of the total.
All schools in the city are equipped with "panic buttons," and surveillance cameras with facial recognition systems have been installed, connected to the situational center of the Bishkek City Police Department.
Under the "Young Teacher's Deposit" program, 6.5 million soms were allocated, and 49 educators became participants in this initiative.
In the field of culture, 5,444 cultural and mass events were organized in 2025, with the participation of over 902,000 city residents. Significant events include the "Young Talents" competition, the International Children's Festival "Naryste," the Third Open Bishkek Delphic Games, and the opening of the "Alga" sports complex and stadium.
In the field of physical culture and sports, 609 sports events were held in the same year, which is 92 more compared to 2024. Of these, 197 events were championships and international tournaments in various sports, while in 2024, their number was 107.
