A recent video that appeared on social media captured workers from the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk" shooting dogs on one of the streets of the capital. This caused a wide public outcry and condemnation from users.

In response to public discontent, the Bishkek city hall clarified that the shooting was carried out in accordance with a decision made by the Lenin District Administration on February 11.
According to official information, there were over 30 dogs and 50 cats on private property in the MTU "Novopavlovka," which exceeds the permissible norms for keeping pets.
As noted by city hall representatives, these animals lacked vaccination documents and veterinary passports.
The press service of the city hall stated: "During the performance of their duties, one of the citizens displayed aggression and actively interfered with the work of the employees. Moreover, she released the dogs towards them, which posed a threat to their lives and health."
It is worth emphasizing that according to the rules, in Bishkek, no more than two dogs and three cats can be kept in one household. Law enforcement officers, as well as representatives from the veterinary and sanitary-epidemiological services, had approached the owner of the animals more than seven times.
"As a result of the dangerous situation that arose, a forced measure was applied — the shooting of one dog that posed an immediate threat. We emphasize that the shooting of the other dogs was not carried out," the city hall added.
