On February 12, 2026, a meeting was held at the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic with the heads of leading universities in the country. The main topic of discussion was strengthening the interaction between educational institutions and the judicial system, as reported by the court's press service.

Key figures participating in the event included the Chairman of the Supreme Court, Mederbek Satiev, his deputy Nurgul Bakirova, as well as several other high-ranking representatives of the judicial system, including the advisor to the chairman, Ruslan Myrzalimov, and the director of the Higher School of Justice, Erkin Toktombetov.

The meeting addressed issues related to the practical training of students in various fields, as well as conducting joint scientific events and sharing experiences.

It was noted that for the effective functioning of the judicial system, not only lawyers are needed, but also specialists in areas such as media relations, budget planning, cybersecurity, and information technology.

In this regard, representatives from universities without law faculties were also invited, as they prepare specialists in demand within the judicial system.

Among the participants were leaders from institutions such as the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, the Ala-Too International University, Osh State University, and many others.

Mederbek Satiev emphasized that it is extremely important for the judicial system to prepare qualified personnel, and that training should take place not only in classrooms but also in real court conditions. He also noted that cooperation with universities is of strategic importance for the development of the country's legal system.

During the meeting, key areas of cooperation were identified:

Firstly, it is planned to organize internships for students in courts, where they can work under the guidance of experienced judges and learn professional ethics.

Secondly, numerous joint scientific events, such as conferences and round tables, will be held to analyze judicial practices and develop new approaches.

There was also discussion about exchanging analytical materials to update educational programs and enhance the scientific activity of universities, with an emphasis on developing the national judicial system.

Additionally, programs for the professional development of teachers are planned, which will help integrate academic and practical knowledge in legal education.

Mederbek Satiev noted that the successful implementation of these initiatives depends on the leadership of universities and expressed hope for active cooperation based on mutual responsibility.

University leaders, in turn, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to discuss important issues of interaction with the judicial system.

Participants agreed that creating a systematic collaboration between the Supreme Court and universities would lay the foundation for improving the training of legal personnel and, consequently, enhance the quality of judicial practice.

It was also proposed to hold a national scientific and practical conference dedicated to Constitution Day to discuss current issues of law enforcement and the rule of law.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop cooperation and strengthen the professional capacity of the judicial system.

Within the framework of the event, cooperation agreements were signed with leading universities for the practical training of students.

This interaction will be a significant step towards improving justice and preparing qualified personnel for the judicial system of the Kyrgyz Republic.

At the end of the meeting, all participants were presented with commemorative gifts from the judicial system.
