Google may be blocked in Russia
Svintsov noted that such a measure could be implemented technically, but its application will depend on the company's further actions. He added that Roskomnadzor might wait for Google's return to the Russian market in order to collect the debt related to the blocking of Russian channels on YouTube.
The amount of the debt is 91.5 quintillion rubles, and it has been determined by decisions of Russian courts for failing to comply with requirements to restore the accounts of television channels.
Quintillion is a number with 18 zeros.
It was previously reported that the amount of the penalty continues to grow due to the daily increase in fines for non-compliance with court orders. The Russian subsidiary of Google has already been declared bankrupt, and part of its assets in the country is under arrest.
After the start of the conflict in Ukraine, Google limited its operations in Russia, and YouTube blocked several Russian state and pro-Kremlin channels.
