A new international airport is being built in the Suzak district
In the Jalal-Abad region, in the Suzak district, the construction of a new international airport named "Jalal-Abad" is underway.
This airport will replace the existing one in Manas, and the freed-up territory will be transformed into a "new type" city, where a sports arena for 30,000 seats is planned to be built in the center.
The new airport will cover an area of 380 hectares and will be equipped with a runway capable of accommodating modern passenger aircraft from Boeing and Airbus, as well as large cargo planes.
The airport will receive a category of 4E, which meets international standards for aviation hubs.
Currently, the construction of a two-level terminal for passengers and parking for aircraft is underway.
Work began in May of last year.
