President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with Zou Jia, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. This information was received from the press service of the head of state.

During the meeting, the possibilities of the bank's participation in the implementation of significant infrastructure projects were discussed, including the construction of the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 and the development of a railway connecting China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

Japarov noted that one of the key areas of state policy is industrialization. He emphasized that the country needs projects that will ensure high added value, as well as modernization of industry and development of resource processing.


The President also emphasized the need to address the issue of electricity shortages, highlighting the importance of constructing the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 and modernizing the existing energy infrastructure.

In addition, during the conversation, projects in the field of transport logistics and road construction were discussed. Japarov stated that infrastructure development will be a key factor in increasing the country's transit potential and enhancing its competitiveness on the international stage.

Zou Jia, in turn, noted that Kyrgyzstan is one of the founding countries of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and is considered a strategic partner. She confirmed the bank's readiness to continue financing current projects and to explore new initiatives.

According to the administration, the bank is ready to consider financing the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 and is prepared to evaluate proposals from the Kyrgyz side regarding the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project.
