The new speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh assures that he will justify the trust of the deputies
After being elected as the speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Marlen Mamataliyev addressed the deputies with his first speech, expressing gratitude to President Sadyr Japarov and his colleagues for their trust.
He emphasized that this new role is a great responsibility for him and promised to use his knowledge and strength for the benefit of the people.
“I am sincerely grateful to President Sadyr Japarov and the entire deputy body for their trust. We bear great responsibility, and I intend to justify it not only with words but also with concrete actions,” he noted.
Mamataliyev highlighted the importance of state unity, adding that all 90 deputies should work as one team, without divisions by regions.
“We must avoid divisions and conflicts. We are one team,” declared the new toraga.
He also spoke about his plans to strengthen internal discipline in the parliament, continue digitalization, improve the work of committees, and enhance the effectiveness of the legislative process.
In addition, the speaker promised to carefully consider all initiatives from the deputies, hold round tables, and strive for concrete solutions to all raised issues.
An important direction of his work will be the development of quality laws, including those aimed at supporting youth and the population.
