Aikerim Talantbekova, a teacher of Russian language and literature at the M.Elebaev school located in the village of Taldy-Suu in the Tyup district of the Issyk-Kul region, has not only earned the title of "Excellence in Education" in her nine years of work but has also opened doors for her students to the world by participating in international competitions.

Her path to the profession began with childhood interests. Aikerim, born in 1993 in the Chui region, was captivated by literature from an early age. "The Russian language teacher at school inspired us during lessons, and I literally fell in love with the subject. Even when I was herding cattle in the pasture, I memorized Russian poems and verses," she recalls.

Aikerim's fate was sealed in the ninth grade when she met her future husband. It was an important choice: her husband was the youngest son in the family, and they were to live in the village with his parents. She decided that if she was going to live in the village, it would only be as a teacher.

Upon entering her husband's family, Aikerim found herself in a pedagogical dynasty: her father-in-law and mother-in-law had worked at the school for many years, and her husband's older brother also became an educator. All family members supported her pursuit of knowledge.

In 2012, she enrolled in the Issyk-Kul State University named after K. Tynystanov. Studying was not easy, and at the time of her diploma defense, her eldest daughter was only two months old.

"My mom and relatives created all the conditions for my studies. When my daughter turned six months old, my mom insisted, 'I will take care of the child, and you go to work, otherwise, you will forget all your professional skills.' That’s how my journey in the school began," she shares.

Now Aikerim and her husband, who works in road maintenance, are raising four daughters. Despite all the household responsibilities, her teaching career is actively developing.

She has been recognized as "Teacher of the Year" and has won prizes in republican competitions. In one of the international projects, she took second place among 68 teachers from 10 CIS countries and completed an internship in Russia.

Aikerim's students actively participate in competitions, such as in the project "Leningrad Blockade," where the kids recreated the image of the famous Toktogon Altybasarova.

Thanks to Aikerim's initiative, her students receive unique opportunities. Soon, two high school students will go on an educational trip to Crimea on the Black Sea. "I love my job and try to invest all my energy into my students. My goal is not just to pass on knowledge from textbooks but to provide quality upbringing and the chance to see the world," concludes Aikerim Talantbekova.
