The Bishkek city hall reported that the nursing home 'Үмүт үйү' received an insurance certificate in the amount of 2,020,311.73 soms. The award ceremony took place on February 11, 2026.
It is worth recalling that a tragic incident occurred on January 6, 2026, when a fire broke out in the palliative department of the institution, claiming the lives of two people. Since then, the Social Stationary Institution 'Үмүт үйү' has been a subordinate institution of the Department of Social Development of the Bishkek city hall, providing services to elderly people and individuals with disabilities over 18 years old who are in need of assistance.
The certificate was presented to the director of the nursing home by the mayor of the capital, Aibek Junushaliev, as well as Eldiyar Kaldarbekov, the chairman of the board of the State Insurance Organization JSC.
The mayor emphasized that this case highlights the importance of timely property insurance and assured that all necessary measures would be taken to ensure the safety and sustainable development of the city.
In 2025, 65,989 residential properties and 49,308 vehicles were insured in Bishkek, among which 2,337 units belong to the municipality. Additionally, 587 municipal properties received full insurance coverage.
By the mayor's order, to preserve municipal property and minimize financial risks, all institutions in the city's social development system were insured with the State Insurance Organization JSC, including the Social Stationary Institution for the elderly and individuals with disabilities 'Үмүт үйү'.
