On February 5, 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan approved Resolution No. 60, which amended the previously effective document — the government resolution of July 1, 2013, No. 390. This update pertains to the "Regulations on Registration Trials and State Registration of Pesticides and Agrochemicals in the Kyrgyz Republic."

The main objective of the new document is to transition the process of registering pesticides and agrochemicals to a digital format. According to the Digital Transformation Concept for 2024-2028, a mechanism for electronic submission of applications and documents will be implemented, which in turn will enhance the transparency of administrative procedures.

The shift to electronic registration will increase the level of transparency, accessibility, and traceability of all stages of the registration and examination process, as well as create a unified electronic database of registered pesticides and agrochemicals. This will also significantly reduce the administrative burden on both applicants and government agencies.

The changes made to the law aim to strengthen control over pesticides and agrochemicals, which in turn will enhance the protection of public health and the environment, as well as introduce principles of openness and transparency into the registration process.
