According to the Transparency International report, Kyrgyzstan ranked 142nd in the global Corruption Perceptions Index in 2025. The country scored 26 points, which allowed it to rise from the 146th position it held in 2024.
However, it is worth noting that in 2023, Kyrgyzstan was in 141st place with the same number of points (26), and in 2020 its position was 124th with 31 points.
In Central Asia, the best results in the fight against corruption are demonstrated by Kazakhstan (39 points) and Uzbekistan (31). The lowest scores were recorded in Tajikistan (19) and Turkmenistan (17).

In 2024, the lowest level of corruption was noted in Denmark (89 points), Finland (88), and Singapore (84).

In its report, Transparency International also emphasizes that "in 2025, the global order was threatened by competition among major powers and the disregard for international norms."

The Corruption Perceptions Index from Transparency International is a composite index that reflects the perception of corruption in the public sector of various countries. It is compiled based on surveys conducted by independent organizations among experts and entrepreneurs worldwide and has been published since 1995. Results from different years of the index can be compared starting from 2012. Countries are rated on a scale from 0 to 100 points, where 0 corresponds to the highest level of perceived corruption, and 100 corresponds to the lowest.
