In Kyrgyzstan, there is a consideration to increase the number of Russian language teachers, which currently stands at about 180. This was reported by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Kyrgyzstan, Sergey Vakunov, in an interview with the channel "Russia 24".

According to Vakunov, a large-scale project initiated by the president is currently being implemented in the republic, which involves the construction of nine general education schools where instruction will be conducted in Russian.

“As of today, there are up to 180 teachers of the Russian language and literature functioning in Kyrgyzstan, and we are aiming to increase this number in the future. Additionally, as part of the presidential project, work is underway to build nine schools with Russian language instruction,” he added.

It is worth noting that in the coming years, Russia plans to build nine schools across Kyrgyzstan.

On September 1, 2023, the construction of new educational institutions began in Bishkek, Batken, and Karakol, with the actual work set to start in 2024. In the future, it is planned to construct three schools annually.
