The amount allocated for these purposes has not changed for 13 years
Deputy Gulkan Moldobekova expressed concern about the insufficient daily funding norm for medications for residents of rehabilitation institutions and social centers. She noted that since 2014, this norm has remained unchanged at 12.5 soms per day.
Nazgul Cholumova, head of the Department for Preparing Decisions Regarding Persons with Disabilities and Elderly Citizens at the Ministry of Social Protection, confirmed that this daily norm indeed amounts to 12.5 soms for all institutions providing mental health assistance and nursing homes. She clarified that these institutions provide supportive therapy rather than intensive treatment.
Additionally, Cholumova reported that there is a draft resolution ready, which proposes to increase the norm for medications to 25 soms per day for these categories of patients.
