Kyrgyzstani Artur Sedov befriended a giant catfish in India
He started fishing at the age of 12 when he first picked up a fishing rod at a pond in Kaindy, located in the Panfilov district. Since then, 18 years have passed, and he continues his travels across Asia in search of large fish.
Under the pseudonym "Asian Wanderer," Arthur shares his fishing adventures. In early September, he talked about his journey to the Indian Ocean with the aim of catching a shark: read more here.
He also shared his successes on the Ili River, where he managed to catch trophy specimens such as a 4 kg snakehead and a 20 kg catfish.
This time, while in India, Arthur encountered a huge catfish, with which he formed a friendship.
“I stumbled upon an abandoned well near my home. When I looked inside, I saw a catfish that was clearly over a meter long. Its origin and what it fed on remain a mystery. I named it Kolodchik and started feeding it small fish and squid. Now this predator swims to me at the sound of my voice,” A. Sedov shared about his observations.
