The Cabinet of Ministers advises farmers to pay attention to certain varieties of agricultural crops.

During a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on Agrarian Policy, which took place on February 9, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev presented a list of high-yield varieties:

wheat: "kolchuga," "mone," "victory 75," "school";
barley: "sanya," "Omsk 100";
sugar beet: Agama Smart, 5K635, Vakita Smart;
watermelon: "madrid," "grind," "jar," Au producer, Mega red;
melon: "lukstar";
cotton: Misslife, Torpedo, AGN 300, Valbom;
corn: Misslife, Torpedo, AGN 300, Valbom;
tomato: "zenga," "erkol," "maximus," Rio bravo;
onion: "sturone," "shutgarten," Ne-Top-Moneta;
bell pepper: "kantatta," Red marcorini, Kalt Borta, Wontar;
carrot: Caroline;
potato: Jolene, Vogue, "columbia," "inna";
cabbage: "pharaoh," "Omsk 9";
beans: "pharaoh," "Omsk 9".

"Last year in Naryn, we grew iceberg lettuce for the first time and harvested 8.5 tons per hectare. This year we plan to sow 20 hectares and expect a yield of 25 tons per hectare. The lettuce will be exported," Torobaev reported.

He also noted that last year record yields per hectare were achieved in the following districts:

Jail district - 120 tons of tomatoes;
Leilek district - 113 tons of onions;
Manas district - 120 tons of peppers;
Kochkor district - 30-35 tons of potatoes.

The minister added that 40,000 tons of diesel fuel and 9,700 tons of gasoline will be required for spring fieldwork. According to the Association of Oil Traders, there are sufficient reserves of fuel.

"Diesel from the State Material Reserves Fund will be sold at 75 soms. There should be no problems with this," he concluded.
