30,000 spectators gathered. How the alaman ulak took place, where a player died
The tournament was organized by the famous kokboru player Manas Niyazov, who had previously announced the participation of athletes from China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan. Prizes included three cars, one hundred camels, horses, and other awards.
The venue for the tournament was located at a traditional field at the foot of the mountains, where both ulakchi and their fans began to gather early in the morning. The atmosphere was vibrant: numerous cars around the field, the roar of the crowd, dust from hooves, and intense competition in every round.
As a result of the competition, the main prize—a car—was won by an ulakchi named Argen. His horse confidently surged ahead and crossed the finish line first.
The tournament organizers noted that the total prize fund included not only the car but also traditional awards such as horses and livestock.
It is worth mentioning that during the tournament, two incidents occurred, as reported by the police. One of the riders fell into a river with his horse and, unfortunately, died. The second incident involved a car that rolled down a slope on the way to the competition; the driver was taken to the hospital.
Despite these tragic events, the tournament proceeded as planned and became one of the most attended in recent years.
