The EU intends to increase technical and advisory support for Central Asia
A recent meeting of Central Asian ambassadors with the leadership of the European External Action Service took place in Brussels, where the main focus was on strengthening cooperation in the extraction and supply of critically important raw materials.
During the meeting, Audrone Perkauskiene, Deputy Managing Director of the European External Action Service for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, held talks with the ambassadors of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, discussing the implementation of previously reached agreements and future cooperation.

Additionally, issues of transport connectivity between the regions and the development of joint energy projects were discussed. This was reported by the diplomatic representation of Turkmenistan in Belgium.

Participants in the meeting emphasized the preparation for upcoming ministerial meetings and the expansion of the "European Union - Central Asia" summit format.

Representatives of the European side confirmed the strategic importance of the region, expressing readiness to support long-term investments in local infrastructure. They noted that a sustainable dialogue between Brussels and the "five" states is key to the economic stability of the entire Eurasian space.

During the discussion, emphasis was placed on the practical implementation of the agreements reached, including the creation of reliable supply chains and the simplification of trade procedures.

As a result of the meeting, EU representatives stated their intention to increase technical and advisory assistance to the region, facilitating the integration of Central Asia into global manufacturing processes.
