In Kyrgyzstan, they may start providing benefits to all children under three years old.
According to the ministry's press service, Edil Baisalov emphasized the importance of social protection for women with children, as well as for persons with disabilities and families facing difficulties, including mothers and children living in remote and mountainous areas.
Earlier, lawmakers proposed for discussion a draft law aimed at expanding social support. As part of this proposal, it is planned to provide allowances to all families with children up to 12 years old, and in cases of need, up to 16 years old.
Later, Edil Baisalov clarified that the government cannot provide allowances to all children, regardless of their families' income. He also added that in the coming months, the government will take steps to improve the situation with allowances.
