In the Kadamjay District, cases of stray animals dying due to lack of supervision have increased.
According to eyewitnesses, one of the horses grazing in a rice field fell into a ditch and was unable to get out on its own. A witness to the incident noted that he could not help the animal alone.
Local residents explain that during the autumn-winter period, rice fields in this area are used as pastures. Cattle and horses from various parts of the Batken region are driven here, where they are left unattended, and in the spring, the owners return for them.
In such conditions, animals often end up on the highways of Osh—Batken—Razakov, which sometimes leads to traffic accidents.
There are also situations where injured or fallen animals remain without assistance and die, as their owners are absent. It is reported that wild dogs, wolves, and jackals pose a danger to some of them.
Residents of the area are calling on responsible authorities to pay attention to this problem and improve control over the care and protection of livestock.
