At a recent meeting of the board of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration, the First Deputy Minister Kamchybek Dosmatov presented positive results of the implementation of state programs for the year 2025.
According to the department's information, the labor market demonstrated stability, with the official unemployment rate at 1.4%, significantly lower than in previous years (2.9% in 2021, 2.8% in 2022, 2.9% in 2023, and 1.8% in 2024). Currently, there are 56.5 thousand unemployed registered with employment services, which is 20% less than in the same period of 2024 (70.6 thousand). Official unemployment status is held by 38.1 thousand people, which is 22% lower than in 2024.
In 2025, 17.5 thousand people were employed, and the number of participants in active programs amounted to 19.8 thousand.
This year, special attention was given to the "Internship for Youth" project, aimed at developing professional skills and facilitating the employment of young specialists. Under this initiative, which operates in 30 pilot districts and cities from 2024 to 2025, participants in internships received a monthly salary, attracting 3 thousand young people.
In 2025, 1851 people underwent internships, of which 1332 found jobs. According to the ministry, they are employed in public and private organizations in various positions, including cashiers, specialists, social worker assistants, nurses, credit specialists, engineers, economists, HR specialists, massage therapists, hairdressers, auto electricians, and design assistants.
