The Ministry of Transport of Kyrgyzstan announced record revenues for the industry: an increase of almost three times
According to the agency's information, the total revenue from various sources, including licensing, permits, weight measurement, and the collection of administrative fines, amounted to 1 billion 167 million 399 thousand soms. In comparison, in 2024, this figure was significantly lower — only 398 million 886 thousand soms.
In 2025, Kyrgyzstan received 222 thousand 20 permits for international road transport from 41 countries.
One of the main achievements was the implementation of the digital platform E-permit, which allows for the exchange of permits with countries such as Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and China. This step transitioned all processes to an electronic format, making it easier for local carriers and significantly reducing their costs.
Additionally, a system for the electronic issuance of special permits for the transportation of oversized and heavy cargo was launched. Now both domestic and foreign carriers can submit applications via mobile devices and receive permits online in just 1-3 hours.
The ministry emphasizes that digitalization in the transport sector helps reduce corruption risks and accelerate all processes, creating convenient conditions for doing business and international logistics.
