Torobaev checked the readiness of the Sokuluk district for spring fieldwork
According to the information from the ministry's press service, during the inspection of the sowing areas, Bakyt Sadykov, the head of the district's agricultural development department, informed the minister that 38,000 hectares of fallow land had already been cultivated in the Sokuluk District.
Sadykov also noted that seeds of barley, wheat, and alfalfa are already prepared and stored in warehouses. It is planned that out of the mentioned 38,000 hectares, 6,000 will be allocated for corn, 2,500 for sugar beets, 20,000 for barley, and the remaining areas will be occupied by fruit and berry crops. The area of winter crops in the district is 31,250 hectares. In addition, mechanical cleaning of the R-10 canal and internal canals is currently underway.
During the visit, Minister Torobaev instructed the responsible persons to inform farmers about the advantages of drip and sprinkler irrigation.
