Starlink Satellite Internet Officially Launched in Tajikistan
The initiative was made possible by a licensing agreement signed between the government of Tajikistan and SpaceX at the end of 2025. The main goal of this collaboration is to implement large-scale digitalization in hard-to-reach regions of the republic.
Tajikistan has become the second country in the region to gain access to SpaceX technologies. The first such country was Kazakhstan, where the Starlink network began operating in August 2025, providing internet connectivity for residential homes and social facilities in remote settlements.
The next in line for connection to Starlink will be Uzbekistan, where the launch is scheduled for 2026. The government of the country has already completed the preparation of the necessary regulatory and tax framework, establishing rules for the use of terminals and providing certain benefits.
