The Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services, Nurdana Oruntaev, reported at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh that over the past four years, the number of emergency socially significant facilities has been significantly reduced.

In response to deputies' questions about the condition of emergency buildings, the minister emphasized the regular monitoring conducted by his department.

“Over the past four years, more than 300 emergency structures have been recorded. We are replacing them with new ones. As of last year, the number of such facilities has noticeably decreased. Currently, there are about 100 emergency schools remaining in the country. We continue to build new ones, and this year or next year, we plan to close all emergency buildings,” noted Nurdana Oruntaev.

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Daniyar Amangeldiev, added that there are currently 113 schools in emergency condition in Kyrgyzstan. This issue is a priority for the government when allocating budget funds for new construction projects.
