Daniyar Amangeldiev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, explained why the CHP has not yet been operating on gas fuel.
He noted that different tariffs are planned for the station—one for the population and another for commercial enterprises. After the transition to gas, the CHP will operate under the commercial tariff.
Amangeldiev emphasized that the modernization process of the CHP has been ongoing for several years and requires time, as it cannot be completed instantly. At the same time, there are plans to convert the station to gas, and currently, cooperation with Gazprom is underway in this direction.
“At the moment, the main problem is the insufficient gas pressure for the operation of the CHP. As soon as we resolve this issue, the conversion of the station to gas will become possible. We plan to solve this task within one to two years,” he added.
