




























On February 4, a cultural event dedicated to the Chinese New Year titled "Happy Spring Festival in Bishkek 2026" took place in Bishkek. This event was organized with the support of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Chinese Cultural Center in Bishkek, and the Executive Association of Kyrgyz-Chinese Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The opening ceremony began with a welcoming speech from the Ambassador of China to Kyrgyzstan, Liu Zhenping, who noted the long-standing friendly ties between the two countries. She emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and expressed China's readiness to further develop cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
The Secretary of State of Kyrgyzstan, Arslan Koichiev, also delivered a congratulatory speech. He congratulated the Chinese people on the holiday and expressed hope for strengthening bilateral relations, highlighting the symbolism of the Year of the Red Horse. In conclusion, he wished all attendees good luck and success in the new year.
The concert, which was part of the program, featured the following groups from China:
- Fujian Professional Institute of Arts,
- Acrobatic Troupe of Fujian Province,
- Song and Dance Theater of Fujian Province,
- Heritage Center of Gaojia Theater in Quanzhou City.
This event became a vivid confirmation of the strengthening cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and China.
