
The choice of this location is not accidental, as the Ivanovka station has a vast territory, which opens up opportunities for the creation of new multimodal terminals, warehouse facilities, and other auxiliary structures.
The construction of the new logistics center will be carried out using modern technologies that meet international standards. This will help eliminate the shortage of logistics infrastructure in the country, strengthen Kyrgyzstan's position in international trade, and serve as an incentive for the development of small and medium-sized businesses. Furthermore, the project will have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of the Chui region by creating new jobs and increasing the country's transit capabilities.
Earlier, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, together with the European Union, allocated funding for the development of a preliminary feasibility study (pre-FS) for this project. The conducted research confirmed the feasibility of its implementation.
Currently, work is ongoing to compile a complete feasibility study (FS) for the construction of the logistics center at the Ivanovka station.
On January 29 of this year, a meeting was held with the participation of representatives from the state enterprise "NC Kyrgyz Temir Zholu," as well as employees of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Union. Issues related to the financing of the project's feasibility study were discussed. As a result of the meeting, the intention to provide grant funding for the full development of the feasibility study was confirmed.
Participants in the meeting emphasized the strategic importance of the project, which is expected to significantly enhance the efficiency of the country's transport and logistics infrastructure, create new jobs, and contribute to the economic growth of the region.
This initiative aims to modernize the railway transport infrastructure and strengthen the role of the state enterprise "Kyrgyz Temir Zholu" in ensuring the sustainable development of the transport system of the Kyrgyz Republic.
