Kurmontinsky Cement Plant in the Tyup District will resume operations

In the Issyk-Kul region, in the Tyup district, the Kurmontinsky Cement Plant will resume operations.
According to information provided by the representative office, during the Soviet period, this plant became known for producing high-quality cement, which was even exported to Kazakhstan. Over time, the enterprise became unprofitable and switched to producing only lime.

The plant was transferred to state ownership and then sold to investors for $4.5 million. It is planned that by the end of 2026, investors will invest about $100 million to build a new modern plant.

The launch of the new enterprise is expected by the end of this year, which will create between 200 and 400 new jobs. Experts believe that this project will have a significant impact on the socio-economic development of the region.
