Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu noted that deputies represent the interests of their constituents
In connection with the discussion of the proposal to extend the training period for obtaining a driver's license to 10 months, the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, defended the deputies.
He emphasized that deputies, representing the people, should not be criticized by the executive branch, as their position reflects the opinion of the voters.
“Deputies actively support the government and accept its draft laws. It is important for the executive branch to respect the parliament and its work,” the speaker stressed.
Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu expressed hope that his call for respect would be heard and lead to necessary conclusions.
The speaker's statement was a response to the criticism from deputy Kunduzbek Suimanov on social media, who had previously opposed the extension of the training period in driving schools.
Suimanov also noted in the Jogorku Kenesh that the criticism directed at him may have been initiated by the executive branch.
