Judge Nurlan Kozhomberdiev prohibited audio recording by media representatives. One journalist attempted to clarify the legal grounds for this ban; however, the judge ignored his question and removed him from the courtroom.
Tilekmat Kurenuv's lawyer, Asel Argymbaeva, reported that the defense submitted four petitions. Among them was a request to allow media for audio and video recording of the proceedings, as well as the exclusion of political expert analysis from the list of evidence and a request for documents to verify the qualifications of political scientist Janishbek uulu A. The court denied these three petitions.
However, the request for an extension of the time to review the materials of the criminal case was granted.
The next court session is scheduled for February 13.
It is worth noting that on April 19, the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) brought Tilekmat Kudaybergen uulu to Bishkek from the United Arab Emirates. Special services claim that while abroad, he regularly published provocative messages and video addresses on social media calling for the organization of mass riots and attempts to seize power. On April 21, the Pervomaisky District Court decided to impose a preventive measure in the form of arrest for Tilekmat Kudaybergen uulu.
