Russian companies are interested in building hotels on Issyk-Kul

On February 3, 2026, a meeting took place in Yekaterinburg between the Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic, Maksat Tentimishov, and Vyacheslav Shchukin, who holds the position of General Director of the Real Trade group of companies. This information was announced by the press service of the consulate.

During the meeting, the possibilities of attracting investments for the construction of tourist infrastructure at the picturesque Issyk-Kul Lake were discussed.

According to the consulate, Shchukin expressed a high appreciation for this location as one of the attractive tourist destinations that interests Russians due to its diverse recreational opportunities, including beach vacations, skiing, mountaineering, and eco-tourism. He noted that interest in Issyk-Kul will grow due to recent significant improvements in the region's infrastructure.
Shchukin also shared the idea of building a classic hotel with a recreation area or spa complex, as well as plans for cooperation with the Ural company "Baden Family," which manages a network of hotels with thermal springs.

The Consul General supported Shchukin's investment intentions and familiarized him with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan regarding the attraction of foreign investments. He also confirmed the readiness of the consulate and state institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic to assist in the implementation of the planned projects.
